What is Lockdown mode
When CatchPulse is in the Lockdown Mode, any untrusted files which try to execute will be blocked automatically without prompting you for further actions. This mode is advisable to be used by inexperienced new users who are unable to decide which program to trust or allow to run.
To change your Standard Application Allowlisting Mode to Lockdown Mode if you are currently using the other modes
From CatchPulse Main Console
-
In CatchPulse Main Console window, click on the Manage → Protection Modes → Lockdown Mode icon.
-
Select from either Default or Silent option for Lockdown Mode.
-
If the Default option is selected, all applications outside the trusted list will be automatically blocked.
-
Click on Edit Notification Settings to switch to Silent Lockdown and select the Silent option.
-
All untrusted applications will be automatically blocked and viruses detected by real-time scans will be automatically quarantined when the Silent Lockdown is activated.
From Desktop Task bar
-
Right-click on CatchPulse tray icon, select Application Allowlisting on the menu and click Lockdown Mode.
-
The CatchPulse icon in the system tray will display the Lockdown icon to indicate that CatchPulse is currently in the Lockdown Mode.
