What happens when you plug in an external removable storage device?

CatchPulse has built-in security measures for external removable storage devices. By default these are turned off, but when activated the behavior in accessing files to and from the external storage changes.

Prompt for Action

When an external removable storage device is inserted to the machine and the default action is Prompt for Action, CatchPulse will prompt you for action.

To skip the scanning, click on the Do Not Scan button. To scan your removable storage device, click on Scan for Malware button. CatchPulse Virus Scanner Window will open and begin scanning.

If no anti-malware engine is enabled, and when an external removable storage device is detected, CatchPulse will prompt a message.

Note that when Remember my answer is checked and Do not scan button is clicked, the default action will be switched to Do Not Scan. Likewise, if Remember my answer is checked and Scan for viruses button is clicked, the default action will be switched to Automatically Scan.
